FAQ

Ada Attic Storage frequently asked questions.

What size unit do I need?

Some things to consider when making this decision are how tightly you are willing to stack and pack your belongings.  The ceilings in our units are 9’ high.  You may want easy access to your goods from time to time.  A larger unit would allow for that.  Professional movers can give you a very good idea of how much space you will need.  For reference purposes, a 10 x 20 unit is about the size of a one stall garage, and would possibly accommodate a three bedroom house, again depending on how you pack and stack, and whether you are storing additional appliances or things from a basement, home office, den or garage.  Sometimes it is helpful to actually see the units.  We would be happy to show you our different sizes to help you with your decision.

Why climate control?

If you are storing long term, (a year or more), you may want a climate controlled unit.  Also, if you are storing musical instruments, antique books, artwork or cameras, you might want to consider a climate controlled unit.  Furniture and household goods store very well in non-climate controlled units.

Climate controlled units are kept at 60 degrees in winter and dehumidified in summer.

We do not offer outdoor storage

Can we store a car or trailer in your units?

Yes.  10 x 20 units are perfect for almost any size car, and our 10 x 15 will take smaller cars (ie. Miata or MG). Door openings for the units are  8’ 4” wide x 7’ 1” high for the 10 x 10 through 10 x 30 units.  We do not have outdoor storage available for trailers or vehicles.

What security measures do you offer?

SECURITY – Access to the facility is through an automatic gate.  The gate is activated by our customer’s personal entry number.   Gate activity is monitored with software.  Our facility is well lighted with bright LED lights between every building.  We use the latest camera technology.  Cameras are high definition with 24/7 video surveillance.  The lock supplied to our customers can’t be picked, cut, or drilled.  Door latches are heavy gauge hardened steel.  Pictures can be viewed on the gallery page.
